The Exide START battery series is designed to provide high energy for engine starting when installed alone for boats with basic equipment (Example A). It can also be used when mounted on engine-specific battery packs for advanced yachts (Example C&D). Since the alternator delivers quickly consumed power, the batteries are usually charged after starting the engine. START design ensures good performance and service life. START battery series, with MCA (Marine Starting Current) performance between 500A and 1100A, meets all engine starting needs from outboard boats to large motor yachts.

Engine Start :

Starting an internal combustion engine requires high power for a short period of time, so that the batteries are not used for the rest of the trip. The electrical unit used to measure the engine operating need is MCA (Marine Cranking Current).
